rTankz aka ‘retro tanks’ presents a refreshed old-school NES game called Battle City. The main goal was to create a clean and compact game engine with a simple, enjoyable game.

The game engine was designed to be easily expandable adding new fully functional modules when needed. As a renderer — only Microsoft DirectX was implemented, but adding OpenGL module should not be a challenge. The engine is easily expandable with configurable external resources and shaders.
